3.6-magnitude earthquake shakes near Palm Springs
According to a computer-generated report from the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake struck at 6:59 a.m. this morning. The quake was centered 10 miles west-northwest of Palm Springs and four miles east-southeast of Cabazon. The temblor originally was classified as a 3.7 and was downgraded a few minutes later.
